The Story of Ubuntu.

It all began with traveling to Tanzania in 2017.

Shelby’s first trip to Tanzania in 2017 sparked a fire that would then one day make Authenteco. Authenteco took years to build and even years to perfect. We’re still perfecting. But even when Authenteco started back in 2020, Shelby knew this business would be like no other. She wanted people to travel RESPONSIBLY. All she knew was that we had a responsibility to change the travel industry and that is one of Authenteco’s core values. We want to educate and change travel for better, not worse. And that is why Shelby decided to go back almost five years later. To change the way we travel.

This project to Tanzania was three years in the making. Although it seems like it happened overnight, we can tell you that this dream has taken much effort, time and collaboration. And we can’t wait to show you what we found. Follow our journey of making dreams come true through travel and educating people on how they can vote with their dollars to make the travel industry change. The travel industry CAN and should change.
